As market leader in EMC compliance testing, Rohde & Schwarz complements its high-end ESI test receiver family for full compliance testing by adding R&S ESPI, a new generation of precompliance test receivers. ESPI offers precompliance measurements for all commercial EMI standards like CISPR, EN, ETS, FCC, ANSI C63.4, VCCI and VDE.
Based on the FSP spectrum analyzer platform, R&S ESPI is specifically designed to meet the demands of EMC testing during development. Therefore the EMC diagnostic measurements are as fast as possible and as accurate as necessary. The precompliance Test Receiver R&S ESPI provides pre- and post-certification testing and fast and easy interference testing in mobile use.
The key factors are accuracy and speed, so R&S ESPI combines test receiver accuracy and selectivity with the measurement speed of a spectrum analyzer to define the crucial performance features for a new class of test receivers.
The model range consists of ESPI 3 9 kHz to 3 GHz and ESPI 7 9 kHz to 7 GHz. Fitted with the optional preselector/preamplifier, R&S ESPI models feature an excellent dynamic range and are therefore able to perform precise interference measurements with pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) from 10 Hz to CISPR 16-1.
Thanks to its modular design, the precompliance test receiver R&S ESPI can be optimally equipped to handle today's measurements as well as the measurements of the futures. The design already takes into account both hardware and firmware extensions so that the R&S ESPI will meet requirements in research and development, production, quality insurance and last but not least service, repair and maintenance.
